  2. Thanks for all your hard work Ben! I'm sure this has already been asked, but, has the possibility of projected ads and even billboards been looked at?

    TIA

  3. Uh- oh - Microsoft coming out with a HUDhttp://appft1.uspto.gov/netacgi/nph-Parser?Sect1=PTO1&Sect2=HITOFF&d=PG01&p=1&u=%2Fnetahtml%2FPTO%2Fsrchnum.html&r=1&f=G&l=50&s1=%2220070194902%22.PGNR.&OS=DN/20070194902&RS=DN/20070194902

  5. I think the Microsoft's HUD is a software system that drives the HUD hardware.

The UI is configurable and it depends on the hardware too. Currently, we know that MVIS HUD system can display information on any shapes of windshield surface and it needs software to show what it's capable. MVIS is not a software company, it develops the hardware to enable the software developer to unleash their creativity. If any of you use SKIN/Theme in one of the software such as Windows Media Player/Winamp, you can get countless UI skin to fit your needs. It's very encouraging to see Microsoft to develop a software system package for the HUD.

  6. Correct me if I'm wrong, but yes, wouldn't this actually be a positive for MVIS and just the autoHUD industry as a whole. MVIS projects what the software tells it to project. Just like with a cell phone projector, MVIS is the device projecting the output, its not the input.

So having Microsoft develop software that helps enable the usefullness and proliferation of the autoHUD industry, and help give a reason for a car to have an autoHUD and more importantly for hte consumer to want their car to have an autoHUD ... then that would seem to be a positive for the guys wanting to sell autoHUD hardware, ie MVIS.

    Right?

  8. hmmm... i know every1's gonna bah at me now but: open-source any1?
if they(MVIS) won't do software then why not? you all think Msoft has the best guys 4 the job?

anyway, i doubt that MVIS is gonna let that happen; operating software and program accessories would still bring a considerable amount of resources to the company.

    that's my 2 cents.
