Microvision's CEO to Present at the 8th Annual Gilder/Forbes Telecosm 2004 Conference



Company will showcase its revolutionary product line of display and image capture products



BOTHELL, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 23, 2004-- Microvision (Nasdaq:MVIS - News), a leader in light scanning technologies, today announced that its CEO, Rick Rutkowski, will speak at the 8th Annual Telecosm Conference to be held at Squaw Creek, Lake Tahoe, October 19th and 20th. The conference is co-hosted by George Gilder, Editor-in-Chief of the Gilder Technology Report and Steve Forbes, Editor-in-Chief of Forbes Magazine.



The event, with over 250 attendees expected, invites a select number of senior executives from the financial community, technology and communications companies and public policy decision makers for discussion on how to identify the technologies on which the future is being built and includes presentations by companies leading that future.



On October 20, Mr. Rutkowski will deliver a presentation and participate on a panel entitled, "Coming to your senses: extraordinary human to electronic and information delivery solutions." The panel will be moderated by George Gilder and includes Dick Merrill, co-founder of Foveon Corporation; Andrew Raguskus, President and CEO, Sonic Innovations; and a representative from Synaptics. The company will also be demonstrating its Nomad Expert Technician System, the Flic laser bar code scanner, its MicroHUD for automotive display applications and a prototype electronic viewfinder for digital still cameras.



The company was recently featured in an article called "For Your Eyes Only" in the July 2004 issue of the Gilder Technology Report, a leading monthly newsletter that seeks new breakthroughs stemming from paradigms of technological progress that are reshaping the global economy. The article, which discussed at length that Microvision's MEMs-based displays significantly outperform LCD-based displays, noted, "There's only one answer to the mobile device display problem and Microvision has the answer."
