  1. Hi Ben, I have a question for the PicoP. I read multiple articles describing the device as having 20 lumen. That might be fine for a 1 square foot image in a moderately lit room but for a 50 inch diagonal image, that would result in 2.5 lumen per square foot. Obviously we need more than 20 lumen if we are to display a wider image than 1 foot in any kind of ambient light. Are there any lasere manufacturers promising a higher lumen output within the desired 1w of consumed power. And is there a throw angle adjustment for the PicoP or will it be fixed?

Thank you for your time and keep up the good word.

  2. For 20 lumens per square foot, one can only use PicoP in a dark room since a normal lighted room will have over 30 lumens of ambient light. That will washout the projection completely. Wonder if MVIS has done its home work on this. The comment by PC magnzine about a mediocore image is probably right.

What is the lumen output from the projector used in CES 2007? Most likely well over 20 lumens.

  3. Ben:

Reading the previous posts has me concerned regarding PicoP's image quality in any actual production version of the device. Should we be concerned? Do prospective manufacturing partners (customers)share this concern?

  4. My opinion is, it looks AWESOME.

  5. We soloved the issue of the 20 lumen "worry". Each pixel is 20 lumen when it leaves the mirror not 20 lumen per square foot.
