Tech Convergence Will Spur Demand for New ADAS Technology

Look in the Light of What You're Searching For

Wow, go away for the weekend and what happens...?

For years I've been on record as saying that Microvision's technology will replace the tiny LCD screens in cell phones and will soon serve as the de facto standard man/machine interface. But for some reason when the richest man in the world says the same thing, people seem to stand up and take notice. Even if we knew all about Microvision before, just having Bill Gates say 'this is cool' changes our perception of the company and the future we envision for it.

I guess this is to be expected. The endorsement of Microvision's technology by Bill Gates is a tremendous validation of what many of us have known for a long time: MVIS stock in 2005 represents a unique opportunity -- the chance to make up for missing out on Qualcomm in 1992, or Microsoft in 1986 -- or the chance to make up for riding down the Nasdaq meltdown of the last few years without taking anything off the table.

The true significance of Bill Gates' backing of Microvision, and the Nomad in particular, may not be known for some time. But in the immediate term its effects can be quantified: MVIS up 13% on roughly double average volume. But Bill Gates is the kind of person who can make things happen fast, just through the power of his imagination...and the power of his $29 billion.

To Mr. Gates, and new MVIS backers everywhere, welcome aboard and welcome to MVIS Blog. There's a lot of info and ideas here for you to mull over.

Big thanks to new MVIS Blog contributor and long time MVIS investor Sturocks for his updates over the weekend, and those to come as well.
