I added some shares today. Sometimes you just get that feeling. I think people have no idea what Microvision is all about. No idea what it means to own shares in this company. I'm going to sit tight with my portion of the company and keep building it up when the feeling is right. We have every opportunity for success. So we'll see what happens.

ReplyDeleteI wanted to add some more doay at 5.2x but didn't. Mostly all in already. Waiting for that 'next' big announcement, that usually comes every few months.

I too added shares today as MVIS hit an automated buy point. However one piece of recent news haunts me and I would love to read a discussion on MVIS blog about it. To quote my message board message: "Recently the University of Washington announced a technology of oscillating scanning fibers designed to supercede the MEMS technology they developed and licensed to MVIS. What, if any, is MVIS's relationship to this new tech? Can UW compete with its own offspring? Since I have begun establishing my position in MVIS, this was the first word that disturbed me. On the other hand, if MVIS is involved it would seem to indicate a continuing forward path for improving the efficacy of RSD's. I hope that knowledgeable posters will help us out by addressing this issue." MVIS Blogger, please help!
ReplyDeleteSqualus,
ReplyDeleteI really don't want to get out of my depth trying to tell you about MVIS IP portfolio in regards to UW fiber scanning efforts. I would recommend talking to MVIS IR directly about any concerns that you may have. There's a piece about fiber scanning on MVIS Blog from maybe a year ago. They suggested MVIS would be the best company to commercialize it. But it didn't sound ready to hit the store shelves anytime soon to me.
I will say, though, that I personally am not worried about it. We are ready to go to market with the technology we've already got.
Retinal implants though are something that I would watch with a keen interest.
There will always be competition and new ideas that have potential. That's why we have to execute now in our window of opportunity and create products and solutions with real-world impact and value to customers. That will always be the bottom line whether it's a mirror or a fiber or an implant.
Rock on,
BJ
Yes, it certainly has taken long enough for MVIS to come to market but the fruition ripens. Do you think we will achieve lift-off with Ethicon or with the heads up windshield displays first?
