Microvision Awarded $740,000 Contract to Expand Development Effort for Field Soldier System Equipment Delivered in Iraq

BOTHELL, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 10, 2005--Microvision (NASDAQ:MVIS), the leader in light scanning technologies for display and imaging, announced today that it has been awarded a $740,000 subcontract by General Dynamics C4 Systems to design and develop enhancements to Microvision's wearable helmet-mounted display, the Nomad ND 2500 system, to provide increased ruggedization. As part of the contract, Microvision is expected to deliver 10 prototype display units that meet or exceed various Military Standards. Microvision recently completed the delivery of 165 Nomad ND 2500 systems to the U.S. Army under a $1.2 million contract by General Dynamics C4 Systems to give Stryker Brigade Combat team members in Iraq now the unique wearable display capability.
