REDMOND, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Microvision, Inc. (NASDAQ:MVIS - News) announced today that it will be a presenter at SPIE Photonics West, January 21st, 2008, in San Jose, CA. SPIE Photonics West is the largest exhibit in North America on cutting-edge light-driven technologies.

The plenary talk, entitled “High-Resolution Displays, One Pixel at a Time,” will be presented by Randy Sprague, Microvision Chief Engineer, and it will cover the inherent benefits of Microvision’s PicoP single mirror solution for mobile projectors, including higher performance, lower power, smaller size, and lower cost.

At the 2008 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, Microvision demonstrated a hand-held battery-powered mobile projector, code-name SHOW™, powered by Microvision’s PicoP display engine. Microvision has previously communicated advanced prototypes of SHOW will be available in limited quantities to select OEM and carrier partners for customer feedback and applications development in the first half of 2008. The release of a commercial product is targeted for the end of 2008. Demonstrations of SHOW will be held again at the 3GSM conference in Barcelona in February 2008.
